A friendly reminder that students do not have access to a microwave for heating their lunches. They also do not have access to a kettle to prepare such items as Mr. Noodles. We ask that student lunches be ready to serve. Many children use a Thermos to keep their food warm. Thank-you for your collaboration ÉSMS is pleased to offer a SUBWAY Lunch on February 23, 2024. All proceeds from Subway Day will be going towards the Breakfast Program. Orders are non-refundable. If your child is away from school, their order can be picked up or sent home with another student if you make arrangements with the office. Please have Orders in by February 18. To place an order please visit rrvsd.schoolcashonline.com/ Our class has been celebrating I Love to Read month in many different ways! One of our favourites has been finishing our Matilda Read-Aloud by comparing and contrasting the book and the movie! Notre classe célèbre le mois "J'aime Lire" de nombreuses façons différentes! L'une de nos activités préférées a été de compléter notre unité Matilda en comparant le livre et le film! Love Monsters in Mme Kristyn’s 1/2 Class We read the book Love Monster and created our own monsters. Students drew and painted their monsters. We used toilet paper rolls to form a heart and stamped a background. Then we had the choice to add texture/fur to our monsters using black paint and a piece of cardboard. Aren’t they adorable? Printmaking in Grade ¾Students in all Grade 3/4 classes worked hard on designing prints on styrofoam. Then they used brayers and ink to make 4 or more prints to use in their “LOVE” collage. We traced the letters and cut them out to add to our project. They look perfect in the hallway to celebrate I Love to Read month and Valentine’s Day! Fantasy Lands in Grade 7/8 Students in Mr. Seeley and M. Fouasse’s class created their own Fantasy Lands. They designed their maps, outlined in sharpie and used watercolours to finish off their creations. Love the variety of themes that were imagined in these maps! Comments are closed.
