GRADE 7&8 STUDENTS CREATE HIT SINGLES!Recently the grade 7 / 8 French class set their creative minds free with a song writing project! Pouring their thoughts and experiences into each of their songs, each one unique and different from the other. In this project we see students writing about various and different emotions, experiences and passions. Such as, sad experiences, exciting experiences, activities they are passionate and proud about, important memories, and expressing into detail their feelings and emotions that they’ve experienced, faced, or overcome. Although it is often difficult to feel comfortable singing in front of crowds, every one of the students stepped out of their comfort zones and all composed and voiced amazing, impressive songs! Here are a few of them! - Mackenzie Coté-
DRESSING FOR THE WEATHERWhen temperatures are above -28, students will be outdoors for morning arrival, breaks and physical education. It is important for student safety to be dressed warmly for our cold Manitoba weather. This includes winter boots, ski pants, winter jacket, toque and mitts. When temperatures of -28 degrees, with or without windchill, are reached, students will be indoors for recess/break. This includes during morning arrivals between 8:15 and 8:45 and for Physical Education classes. VALENTINES DAYUnfortunately due to the COVID circumstances, we will not be able to exchange Valentine’s Day cards in classes. For students wishing to bring store bought pre-packaged treats to share with their classmates for Valentines Day, please ensure that the treats are not labelled specifically with student names. The treats will be safely distributed by a staff member to students. All students will be notified that they must take their treats home and have parent permission prior to eating them.
