We've studied the art of Wayne Thiebaud, a famous dessert artist. Recently the students in Mme Derris and Mme Rachael's classes made donuts using toilet paper maché and iced them with a shaving cream glue mixture. Do-nut they look delicious?! DONATION REQUEST - GENTLY USED WINTER CLOTHESWe are reaching out to our school community! If you have any gently used outdoor clothing that you can donate to the school, we would appreciate it. We are looking for all sizes of winter clothing articles that will assist K-8 students. You can send your items with your child OR you can drop them off at the front office of the school. Just buzz at the entrance and someone will meet you at the door. We thank you in advance for your support in keeping our students safe and warm during our long winter months. MEET THE NEW PARENT COUNCIL MEMBERSHello ÉSMS Parents and Staff, January 13, 2021 École St. Malo School Parent Advisory Council held its Annual General Meeting. New board members were elected at this meeting. We would like to introduce ourselves to our school community. President: Hi there, my name is Alea Elliott. I am your newly elected President of ÉSMS Parent Advisory Council (PAC). A little bit about my family and me. We moved from Winnipeg to Otterburne May 2019. My husband, Derek, and I have two girls, Emma and Sofia, both of whom attend the English program at École St. Malo School. Since the first Covid-19 lock down, I have been working at home full time. I joined ÉSMS PAC September 2019 to meet parents and become involved with the school. I want to thank Renée Gentes, Reena Maynard and Lindsey Davis for the contributions they made to ÉSMS PAC. I look forward to our Parent Advisory Council representing the collective voice of ÉSMS parents. Vice President: My name is Melissa McCoy. I am the Vice President of the PAC. I moved to St. Malo in 2013. I have twins, Claire and Conner, in the Grade 1 French program. I joined PAC last year as a member at large and this year I was elected Vice President.
