THE END OF REMOTE LEARNINGWe would like to welcome back our grade 7 & 8 students and our K to 6 remote learners to in-class learning! We are very happy to see you once again! Student attendance to remote learning was truly remarkable. Congratulations to our students for their commitment during this time. The return to in-class learning follows the recent announcement by Manitoba Education and the RRVSD of the end of the temporary, two-week period of remote learning following the holiday break and the resumption of in-person classroom learning. Learning arrangements will continue to be made upon parent request for students who are required to remain in quarantine for short periods of time. We would like to thank families for their active engagement during this trying time of remote learning. We are grateful for your support and collaboration in the ongoing education of our students. DRUM FITTING OUR WAY TO FITNESS! Drumfit is a cardio-based drumming program combining physical activity with brain fitness. Students simply grab drumsticks and drum away to music on an exercise ball. The result? A fun filled PE class while increasing overall wellbeing. All the while students are having fun, their DrumFIT session is promoting both cardio and brain fitness! As simple as it may sound, keeping the beat along with the movement is a challenging task for all ages and can bring on quite the sweat. Drum fit is equally a great way to maintain a physical education program during the cold weather days. We would like to thank the Village Connection for their financial support in the purchase of the Drum fit equipment. Their generous donation has provided drum fit sets for our school and Héritage school.
DONATION REQUEST - GENTLY USED WINTER CLOTHESWe are reaching out to our school community! If you have any gently used outdoor clothing that you can donate to the school, we would appreciate it. We are looking for all sizes of winter clothing articles that will assist K-8 students. You can send your items with your child OR you can drop them off at the front office of the school. Just buzz at the entrance and someone will meet you at the door. We thank you in advance for your support in keeping our students safe and warm during our long winter months. 2020-2021 NEW PAC COUNCILFollowing the PAC AGM held on January 13th, new council board members were elected.
