PAC SCHOOL SPIRIT WEEK!December 21: Virtual Winter Concert December 22: Last day of classes December 22: Report cards sent home January 6: First Day back in classes Preparing for the concert in Mr. Seeley's ClassThis week in Seeley's class, we learnt how to multiply integers and completed group research projects on the Wonders of the Natural World like the Grand Canyon and the Great Barrier Reef. We will also be finishing our Christmas masks in preparation for the virtual concert. Christmastime fun with Maternelle StudentsDécembre nous apporte Noël. En maternelle, on chante beaucoup et on se prépare pour notre concert virtuel. On bricole des cadeaux et on peint des rennes. N'oublions pas les jeux amusants avec les perles et les géoplans. C'est vraiment le meilleur temps de l'année! With December comes Christmas. In Maternelle, that means singing to prepare for our concert. It means crafting gifts and painting reindeer. Let's not forget fun games where we play with beads and geoboards. It really is the most wonderful time of the year! Learning with cards with the 3/4E ClassLearning some French by playing go fish “Aller Pecher!” Lil' Steps Wellness Farm visits 4/5E4/5E has really been enjoying working with Mme Lucy from Lil’ Steps Wellness Farm on Tuesday mornings. We have been learning about our feelings and how to identify and healthily manage challenging emotions like stress, anxiety, and worry. Our toolkits have been really helpful in allowing us to do this, and many of us are especially fans of our Worry Boxes and our Wilbur-the-Pig stress balls. We can’t wait to learn how to use our Muddy Puddy next! Reader's Theater in 5/6BGrade 5/6B has been participating in readers theater to help promote reading fluency, reading with expressions and building confidence in reading the french language. Each student chose a reading part they were comfortable with from the classic fairytale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and practiced for 10 minutes before presenting out loud to the class. We decided it would be fun to have the two groups compete against each other. Students got creative and used props they found around the classroom. Students were “judged” by our three fantastic volunteer judges Reed, Kenadie and Ryland. It was a hit! GRADE 7/8S JOUENT LE JEU DE CHAINE |
