Roots of EmpathyMme Bagga's 5/6 class had another visit from baby Haisley. This month we talked about communication and discussed how Haisley is learning to understand both the French and English language. She has even started saying 'Mama' and 'Dada'! This is also the first time that the class has been able to see her crawl, so most of our time with her was spent watching her explore classroom! Rhythms with M. ShaneStudents in grade 2/3 used balls, buckets and drumsticks to create rhythmic patterns. They performed for their classmates with a focus on starting and stopping together. Building boats in 7/8EIn Mr. Seeley's and Mme. Holly's Grade 7/8E class students experimented with bouyancy. Students constructed boats with various items found around the school with the goal of making them float and carry weight. Also covered this week: problem solving in Math and writing persuasive essays in ELA. In 3-4F we have been learning how to calculate the perimeter and how to calculate the area of shapes. We learnt a new math game which encourages us to practice calculating the area and our multiplication at the same time. Comments are closed.
