construction updatesIt is so exciting to see the progress made already in such a short period of time. Construction fencing has been installed around the perimeter of the work area and demolition to make room for the new build is already begun. These are the changes that will in effect: Busses: Our new bus drop off and pick up location will now remain on Chouinard Street (The arena road) until the end of the construction period. We would ask for your help in avoiding parking on Chouinard street during the hours of 8:15 to 8:45 and 3:15 to 3:45 to ensure safe arrival and departure procedures for the students. Closed off access: Maternelle North door is no longer accessible. Students can be picked up and dropped off at the school's main doors. Play ground access: All students have been relocated to the south school yard for arrival and recess times. Although staggered recesses have been maintained in order to accomodate space for both the Early Years and Middle Years to play, there are no cohort groups during break times. Families accessing the school playground after school hours will continue to have access to the South end of the yard (play structure area). We will continue to do our best to provide you with advanced notice of any changes affecting students (ie- busses/yard access...) understanding that sometimes construction projects have the unexpected or delays happen requiring last minute changes.
