Cooler WeatherWith the amount of time students spend outdoors for recess and for Phys. Ed, it is important that students are appropriately dressed for the cold. We strongly recommend that early years students have a second pair of mittens or gloves and a second pair of socks, in case their first pair is lost or becomes went during play time or class time. For middle years students, we strongly recommend a good pair of winter boots as opposed to runners or slip on shoes, a jacket, toque, and either ski pants or additional layers of pants. Veritcal spaces and comic books with mr. seeleyThis week in Mr. Seeley's grade 6 & 7 math class students worked on vertical spaces to develop their problem solving skills and built structures using ratios and fractions and in Mr. Seeley's 5/6 Social Studies class, students worked on creative projects to show their learning about the First Peoples of Canada. Demonstrating teamwork, concentration and taking turns during k-1/2 phys ed.Cooperative learning experiences in 5/6EThey focused on connection and team building throughout their days. They had fun playing math games, participating in interactive writing, and taking their sentences "from good to wow". Furthermore, they were so excited to have Mme. Carmen join them for ELA on Friday and help them strengthen their quick writes by incorporating the descriptive vocabulary they've been discussing in class. Comments are closed.
